Stijn Welkers is an experienced Learning & Development executive. Stijn designs customized executive education programs, functions as program director, faculty and facilitator for team projects and executive coach for individuals.
Stijn is the managing director of LDS Leadership Development Studio. Previously, Stijn was employed by Singapore Management University’s Executive Development office, where he managed partner relationships, designed and delivered multi-level, multi-module executive education programs.
As a team coach and project advisor Stijn has worked on assignments with global companies in technology, mining, food processing, pharma and banking. Project assignments have primarily focused on revenue growth, (business model) innovation and design thinking. Stijn has also supported programmes with MBAs at INSEAD (Singapore) and Hult (Shanghai).
Stijn is certified on HOGAN assessments (HPI, HDS and MVPI), Harrison Paradox, GlobeSmart Cultural Profile and Belbin Team Roles, which he debriefs during training programs or personal executive coaching sessions.
Stijn previously was a consultant and entrepreneur. He has worked in the insurance industry in Switzerland, oil & chemicals industry in The Netherlands, United Kingdom and Germany, consulting and PC games industry in the United Kingdom, before moving to Singapore in 2000, where he still owns a software distribution business with annual revenue of several million dollars.
Stijn holds an MBA from Henley Management College UK (1998).
